6 O'Clock My Hometown is a long-running program broadcast in the evening on KBS 1TV that has introduced farming and fishing villages, traditional markets and locally produced food across the country. Because it is not a program only about popular restaurants, this page focuses on the restaurants and shops among the places on the show where visitors can go to eat or buy things themselves. Many of the places are in small provincial towns or seaside villages, so it is handy to use together with the region buttons when you are looking for somewhere to stop on a trip or on the way to your hometown. The shows often feature seasonal ingredients, so please remember that a menu item shown on the broadcast may not be available, or its price may differ a lot, depending on the season. Right after a broadcast, orders can pile up and the prepared amount can run out early, and as time passes the situation at a place can change. This site does not list phone numbers, prices or business hours, so first check whether the place is open and its days off with the Naver Map or KakaoMap button on the card. A shop inside a market sometimes follows the market's overall days off, so it is good to look once more. We post a place only after checking the broadcast date and the featured menu, finding posts on two different blogs that introduce the same place and comparing their contents, and confirming the name and address on map services. If these independent routes do not match, we do not show the name and leave it as “Being verified.”
