Privacy Policy

Life Calculator Lab (생활계산소) (hereinafter the "Site") does not collect personal information when you use the calculators. Only when a visitor sends us an inquiry email on their own initiative, it is handled as described below.

1. Personal information collected

None. The Site has no sign-up, login or comment features. Values you enter into a calculator are calculated only inside the visitor's browser and are not sent to or stored on a server. The result "picture card" is also created inside the visitor's browser, and sharing happens only when the visitor chooses an app (such as KakaoTalk) in the device's share window or saves the image to the device. The card contains the numbers you entered as they are, so please check it before sending.

2. Cookies and access logs

The Site does not use cookies. For visit statistics, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics from Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). This tool does not use cookies or browser storage, and processes only aggregated information such as the pages visited, the referral source (which site the visitor came from), browser, operating system, device type, country and page loading speed. Cloudflare states that this tool does not collect or use visitors' personal information and does not track visitors by IP address or similar means. Even if you block the statistics script with an ad blocker or tracking blocker, you can still use the calculators as usual. The hosting service that runs the Site (Cloudflare) may process access logs (IP address, access time, etc.) for service operation under its own policies.

When a notice bar appears at the bottom of the screen and you click "Don't show again today", only the fact that you closed it today (the notice name and the date) is saved in the visitor's browser storage (localStorage), and it is not sent to a server. This value is used only to decide whether to show the notice again the next day, and it is deleted when you clear the browser's site data. The Site works as usual even if you block storage (the notice bar may appear again).

3. Advertising and affiliate links

The "Winter Heating Picks" page and the area below some calculators contain Coupang Partners (쿠팡 파트너스) links. Clicking such a link takes you to an external site (Coupang), where Coupang's privacy policy and cookie policy then apply. Product images are loaded directly from Coupang's servers, so the visitor's connection information (IP address, browser type, etc.) may be passed to Coupang when the images are loaded. The Site does not receive or store the visitor's personal information in this process.

The Site does not run any other advertising (such as Google AdSense). If it does so in the future, it will first state in this policy that the ad provider may use cookies and how to turn off personalized ads, and only then begin.

4. Inquiry email

If you contact us at the email address on the contact page, we receive your email address and the content of your inquiry.

• Purpose: answering inquiries and correcting calculation errors
• Items: email address, name (if you provide it), content of the inquiry
• Retention period: destroyed one year after the day the reply is completed (or for the period set separately by law)
• Method of destruction: permanent deletion from the mailbox
• Provision to third parties / outsourcing of processing: none (emails are exchanged through Google Gmail).

You can use every function of the Site without sending an inquiry. Please do not send information such as a resident registration number or bank account number.

5. Privacy officer and your rights

Privacy officer: the Site operator (one2jai1@gmail.com). You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of an inquiry you sent by email, and we will handle it without delay. You can also report personal information infringements and seek advice from the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (개인정보침해신고센터) (dial 118 with no area code).

6. TV and YouTube restaurant map

The map that collects restaurants featured on TV programs and YouTube videos also does not collect visitors' personal information. The program and region buttons and the search box filter the list only inside the visitor's browser, and the values you choose or the search terms you enter are not stored or sent to a server.

When you click "Sort by nearby", your browser asks for permission to use your location. If you allow it, your location is used only for distance calculation on this screen and is not stored or sent anywhere.

When you click "View on map", the map images are fetched from the map servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom), and technical information such as your connection IP address may be passed to those servers. That processing follows the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy. If you do not click it, no request is made.

When you click a restaurant's Naver Map (네이버 지도) or KakaoMap (카카오맵) button, you move to that company's site, and processing after that follows each company's policy.

When you click "Watch video" for a YouTube restaurant, you move to the YouTube (Google) site, and processing after that follows Google's privacy policy. Because no video is loaded inside the Site, nothing is requested from YouTube before you click.
